Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for applying the skills and art of nuclear medicine imaging through safe and effective use of radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer radionuclide therapy
- Prepare, perform QC, and dispense radiopharmaceuticals for off-hour procedures
- Perform urgent Nuclear Medicine procedures in an on-call status or in a single technologist staffing model
- Check the order for complete information and proper exam and schedule exams as needed
- Obtain sufficient information to determine whether the exam should be performed immediately or within a specific time frame
- Determine if additional technical support is required and follow the proper procedure for obtaining support
- Adhere to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Interact appropriately with patients and all care providers
- Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
- BLS Basic Life Support, American Heart Association (required at hire for Roper St Francis Healthcare locations; preferred at hire, required prior to independent patient care at BSMH)
- Associate's from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute (preferred)
- 1 year of experience practicing Nuclear Medicine experience (preferred)
