A Correctional Officer plays a vital role in maintaining the security and order of correctional institutions and other places of detention. This position requires a strong sense of duty and a commitment to enforcing institutional policies, rules, procedures, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain the custody and security of prisoners and other incarcerated offenders.
- Enforce rules, regulations, and state laws necessary for control and management of offenders.
- Ensure the safe and secure transportation of prisoners and other individuals within the institution.
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and correctional staff to maintain order and security.
This position requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of physical activity and exposure to potentially dangerous situations. Correctional Officers must be able to think critically and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
Qualifications:To be successful in this role, applicants should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
