Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at LifeSkills Connection, Inc. as a key member of our Health and Wellness Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Health and Wellness Director in planning, implementing, and evaluating an efficient wellness program that meets the needs of our students and aligns with Job Corps goals and objectives.
  • Provide nursing services, ensuring the highest level of care and adherence to doctor's orders in the Wellness Center.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient charts, medical and dental records, and terminated students.
  • Notify residential personnel of released patients and maintain a record of admissions and dismissals.
  • Compile various logs, records, and reports, including wellness use, examinations, and medication use.
  • Dispense prescribed medication and assist with cursory examinations, sick call, and wellness care.
  • Serve as on-call nurse when schedules require and work to ensure performance management standards are met.
  • Ensure a clean and safe health facility is operated at all times and maintain current knowledge in CPR and First Aid.
  • Monitor area of responsibility to ensure timely and high-quality services.
  • Follow CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily and adhere to required property control policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), LifeSkills Connection's policies and procedures, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate and abide by LifeSkills Connection's core values and operating principles.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of employment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with students, staff, and medical professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
