We are seeking a talented and experienced Sushi Cook to join our team at Scratch Restaurants Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes that meet our Michelin-caliber standards.

About the Role:

  • Prepare and cook sushi and other Japanese dishes to a high standard.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Communicate with guests and colleagues in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new menu ideas.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a related position in a restaurant or bar.
  • Basic English reading and communication skills.
  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in multi-tasking in dynamic situations.
  • Knowledge of weights, measurements, volume and cooking procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
  • Continuous use of hands and arms.
  • Continuous bending, reaching and twisting.
