Key Responsibilities:
- Execute assembly tasks on mechanical components.
- Ensure parts meet specifications by utilizing blueprints and measuring tools, including calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to construct and maintain tooling.
Work Schedule: Candidates must be available to work various shifts, including 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts, in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Lockheed Martin offers diverse work schedules that enhance flexibility for employees, ranging from standard 40-hour weeks to condensed schedules that provide additional time off.
Basic Qualifications:
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly using blueprints and measuring instruments.
- Proficiency with a variety of hand tools.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary, with visual acuity of 20/20 with corrective lenses.
- Competence in reading and interpreting process plans, sketches, and photographs to outline tasks.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to facility requirements.
Desired Skills:
- General experience in measurement and inspection.
- Familiarity with GD&T, ANSI, and military specifications.
- Technical training or apprenticeship with over 5 years of experience in precision assembly techniques.
- Experience in structural assembly, riveting, and helicoil insertion.
