Job Title: MDFT Clinician

Job Summary:

The MDFT Clinician provides intensive treatment services to families, including crisis intervention, parent guidance and education, advocacy, and linkages to other services in neighborhood schools and communities. This role involves identifying strengths and challenges of the adolescent, the family, and their transactions with extra-familial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-person intensive treatment services to families, including crisis intervention, parent guidance and education, advocacy, and linkages to other services.
  • Identify strengths and challenges of the adolescent, the family, and their transactions with extra-familial systems.
  • Work with families and adolescents in their home environment, conducting clinical sessions with youth, parent, and family.
  • Complete all agency documentation, including assessments and weekly progress notes.
  • Meet with families based on model/MDFT expectations for clinical sessions.
  • Initiate face-to-face contact with each family within 48 hours from the time referral is assigned by supervisor.
  • Provide comprehensive MDFT treatment to each family, individualized and goal-oriented.
  • Collaborate with the family in developing an enduring social support network in the natural environment.
  • Submit weekly written progress report to the referral source.
  • Work with MDFT Therapist Assistant/Case Coordinator to institute community support system.
  • Complete all required MDFT documentation.
  • Perform all required training, consultation, and evaluation as outlined in MDFT.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or related behavioral science - Required.
  • Receipt of provisional license (LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT-A, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) - Required.
  • Skilled in therapeutic interventions, advocacy, and crisis intervention.
  • Ability to function independently.
  • Personal Effectiveness/Credibility.
  • Communication Proficiency.
