Certified Prosthetist Orthotist

We are seeking a highly skilled Prosthetist Orthotist to join our team at SG Homecare Inc. as a Patient Care Specialist. This role will involve providing exceptional patient care for adult and pediatric patients requiring prosthetic and orthotic devices.

• Comprehensive Patient Assessments: Perform thorough assessments to understand patients' O&P needs.
• Treatment Planning: Develop personalized treatment plans to meet patients' goals and needs.
• Device Design and Fabrication: Design and create orthotic and prosthetic devices based on physician prescriptions.
• Patient Education: Provide thorough instructions on device use and maintenance.
• Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate clinical records of patient encounters.
• Device Repair and Maintenance: Repair or update prosthetic and orthotic devices as needed.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Inventory Management: Order and manage inventory, reducing overhead costs.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Supervise administrative staff, assist with scheduling, and mentor junior team members.
• Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

• Certification: Possess ABC or BOC certification in Prosthetics and Orthotics.
• Experience: Medical/healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Licensure: Hold a valid Certified Prosthetist Orthotist license.
• Clinical Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting patients and operating equipment.
