Job Summary


The Direct Care Worker (DCW) provides personalized care and support services to clients, including personal care, homemaking, and companionship. This role requires a high level of empathy, patience, and understanding, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide companionship and social interaction to clients
  • Perform homemaking tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Assist clients with medication management and administration
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of client care and services provided

Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Successful completion of a state-approved Direct Care Worker or Home Health Aide course required
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English required
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation required
