Job Summary

Regional One Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team on a weekend shift. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients within assigned areas, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Perform assigned duties on the weekend shift, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • Initiate assessment based on patient presenting problems or needs, physician medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.
  • Collect key information from patients, family, laboratory, and other medical reports.
  • Ensure all consents necessary for treatment/procedure have been signed and all prescribed identification procedures have been carried out.
  • Determine nursing diagnosis and priorities for care, considering patient teaching, discharge planning, and growth and development needs.
  • Document assessment, including nursing diagnoses or other clinical judgments.
  • Provide care, manage clinical competency, and meet age-specific patient needs within the unit.
  • Assess, plan, and implement care of assigned patients, performing therapeutic nursing interventions as ordered by the physician.
  • Document care based on standards of care and practice, including assessment and ongoing assessment findings, updated clinical priorities for documentation, therapeutic nursing interventions, and patient response to interventions.
  • Respond to medical emergencies, initiate CPR/BLS as required, and provide teaching to patients/family in the care of disease/condition.
  • Maintain patient medical records, document patient status and care given, and perform charting duties.
  • Collaborate with patient/family/hospital staff regarding patient needs, promoting patient/customer instruction and adhering to iRESPECT Standards.
Requirements
  • Qualified by education, training, or experience to work with the school-age, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patient population.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure (Upon Hire Required)
  • Experience in caring for patients in an inpatient setting.
