Plating Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Plating Technician to join our team at Rocknel Fastener Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, testing, and verifying all plating and wastewater pretreatment systems, performing lab testing as required, and maintaining and monitoring all equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the proper operation of all plating chemistries by performing chemical analysis and ensuring all meters, pumps, and other systems are running correctly and within specification.
• Ensure the proper operation of the plating and WWT equipment by monitoring and repairing equipment.
• Work with the Supervisor/Manager to provide support troubleshooting the chemical processes.
• Operate the wastewater system on the 3rd shift.
• Work with the plating supervisor/manager to review and monitor quality and process improvements within the chemical processes.
• Assist with chemical inventory and ordering as required.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED
• Basic Computer Skills
• Class K License (Wastewater Operator Certification)

Preferred Qualifications:

• ISO / TS 16949 Training
• Knowledge of Safety and IEPA requirements
• Chemical analysis skills
• Basic maintenance skills
• Ability to take seminars / classes to advance skills

Work Environment:

• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
• Ability to continuously stand and move through 12-hour shifts.
• Perform physical activities that require the use of body to lift, walk, climb steps, and handle materials up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Work in a variety of maintenance and repair areas, and may be assigned other duties not listed above.
• Prioritize, organize, and accomplish work efficiently.
• Move quickly from task to task with minimal errors and/or omissions.
