Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pantry Cook to join our team at El Monte Sagrado. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of our Executive Chef or Sous Chef to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency in the kitchen.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests at all times.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards to ensure a clean and healthy environment.
  • Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
  • Cook menu items in collaboration with other kitchen team members to ensure timely and high-quality service.
Requirements
  • Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification is required.
  • Ability to work on your feet in a humid kitchen environment for eight hours or more.
  • Must be able to lift/push/reach for/carry 30+ pounds frequently.
  • Excellent verbal communication and ability to multitask.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a high-volume kitchen or equivalent combination of education and experience.
