Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble prototype automotive components and subassemblies in preparation for mass production.
  • Collaborate effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Utilize a variety of mechanical tools and heavy machinery with proficiency.
  • Stage, set up, and test equipment according to technical work instructions, ensuring top-tier quality standards.
  • Adhere to established procedures and processes, contributing to their development when necessary.
  • Document any discrepancies in processes or components and collaborate with engineering or manufacturing teams to implement improvements.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of processes and techniques aimed at continuous improvement.
  • Support manufacturing and facility operations as needed.
  • Participate in site preventative maintenance tasks in line with the asset management system.
  • Work closely with engineers and leadership to identify and implement operational enhancements focused on efficiency and repeatability.
  • Adapt to changing roles and responsibilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
  • Be available for overtime as required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Work Environment:

  • Factory and office settings, with occasional travel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (10% of the time).

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred: Associate degree in automotive technology or a related field.

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a technician in aerospace, aviation, automotive, or oil and gas sectors.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work towards project goals with minimal specifications.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide valuable feedback for vehicle development.
  • Skilled in operating machinery and hand/power tools requiring manual dexterity.
  • Experience with forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with calibrated measurement devices such as load cells, multi-meters, calipers, torque wrenches, depth gauges, and micrometers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Occasional movement around the office and warehouse is necessary to perform tasks efficiently.
  • May need to transport testing equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across the factory.
  • Frequent communication with team members and other departments is essential for smooth operations.
  • Experience working with low and high voltage vehicle systems.
