Educational Assistant

Santa Fe College is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Educational Aide to support the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. This part-time position will provide general administrative and office support, as well as interact with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a professional and welcoming atmosphere by greeting, responding to, and directing visitors.
- Accept, screen, and route telephone calls concerning activities and operations, directing inquiries as appropriate.
- Provide front-line level of resolution to questions or concerns while making appropriate referrals as necessary.
- Distribute mail and office supplies and operate and maintain copier/printer.
- Operate and maintain office equipment such as copy machines, laminators, and document shredders to scan documents, print documents, etc.
- Ensure space is kept cleanly and organized.
- Provide general administrative support to faculty and staff.
- Strictly honor the privacy and security of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal and college regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Comply with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.
- Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours.
- A criminal background check will be conducted.
- Must maintain a 2.0 GPA.
- Students with office and/or customer service experience are preferred.
