POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Benefits Manager and collaborating with the Sr. Director of Total Rewards, the Compensation and Benefits Analyst plays a crucial role in the research, design, and management of the company's Total Rewards program. This includes areas such as health and welfare benefits, retirement plan administration, compensation planning, annual salary surveys, market assessments, and compliance audits. The role demands effective communication with various internal and external teams and a proven ability to manage data accurately, with exceptional skills in Excel, communication, follow-up, and time management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee and process new hire enrollments, life event changes, open enrollment, and Evidence of Insurability requests using the Plan Source benefits enrollment system, ensuring compliance and timely actions in collaboration with HR Business Partners.
  • Coordinate with the payroll team to manage benefit deductions and resolve any arrearage issues.
  • Handle departmental correspondence, complete Qualified Medical Support Orders, and update benefit enrollments in the Plan Source system.
  • Assist in reviewing benefit communication materials, reports, and plan documents.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries received through the Benefits Inbox.
  • Conduct market analysis for various positions to inform compensation recommendations based on internal and external benchmarks.
  • Maintain an organized electronic library of job descriptions, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Administer the company's 401(k) plan, including monitoring error reports, enrollment processes, funding, and audits.
  • Support annual compensation planning and incentive cycles by preparing reports and validating data.
  • Participate in salary surveys and analyze results to ensure competitiveness and adherence to best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, documentation, and communication strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with plan documents and legal regulations, staying informed about changes in laws and plan provisions.
  • Collaborate with HRIS, Benefits, Payroll/Finance, and other stakeholders to enhance workflow and processes.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify data accuracy and process integrity.
  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local compensation laws and market practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • 4 to 7 years of experience in benefits administration and data analytics, particularly in 401(k) plan management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with ADP and PlanSource or similar benefits enrollment tools is preferred.
