Urology LPN Job Description

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Urology Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct and indirect patient care responsibilities, working closely with our healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to patients in the Urology Department, including triaging patients, performing Point of Care (POC) duties, and assisting providers with outpatient procedures.
  • Administer medications, provide patient education, and document patient information according to Montefiore Medical Center policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical expertise and stay up-to-date with industry developments.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and graduation from an LPN school.
  • New York State License for Practical Nurse and current registration.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Infection Control Certification.
  • Effective English communication skills, written, oral, and interpersonal.
  • Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.
