Qualifications & Experience Requirements
  • Valid RN or LPN license in the state of employment. Wound Certification is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification is required; ACLS certification is a plus.
  • Relevant experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Experience in treatment nursing is desirable.
  • Supervisory experience in a long-term care setting is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer all treatments, including dressing changes and topical applications, in accordance with center policies and procedures, ensuring resident privacy and infection control.
  • Conduct routine monthly replacements of gastric tubes and Foley catheters as assigned.
  • Provide tracheostomy care and suctioning as needed.
  • Document treatment recommendations at least weekly in nurse notes and required reports.
  • Suggest treatment procedures or products to attending physicians as necessary.
  • Order treatment supplies from pharmacy or central supply as required.
