Pharmacist Job Description

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to support our U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) facility in Lancaster, TX.

Job Summary

We are looking for a licensed Pharmacist to join our team and provide pharmaceutical verification of prescription orders, assess drug orders, and perform quality assurance functions.

Responsibilities
  • Verify prescription orders for legend, OTC, Medical Surgical, and Controlled Substances
  • Assess drug orders and cross-match with medication presented at checking stations
  • Pre-verify medications loaded into mechanical apparatus to dispense medications into prescription bottles
  • Complete verification and fill of controlled substance orders, including Schedules III, IV, and V
  • Perform Quality Assurance functions and supervision of Pharmacy Technicians
  • Follow CMOP policies regarding documentation and reports to meet VA and TJC policy
Requirements
  • Licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
  • Graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university
  • Licensed for controlled substances, with qualifications to practice in any states
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills with co-workers and staff
  • Basic typing skills, PC computer skills, and working knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to read, understand, speak, and write English fluently under the authority of U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d)
