About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Specialist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a key member of our Cath Lab team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat cardiovascular conditions.
  • Perform active physiological monitoring of heart rate, rhythm, pressures, and saturations.
  • Anticipate changes during cases and communicate patient condition changes to the physician and team.
  • Routinely perform patient testing and/or monitoring, including oxygen saturation, cardiac output, shunting, and hemodynamic calculations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and variation of procedures, including equipment and supplies used for performance.
  • Assist with room setup, patient transport, and post-procedure clean-up.
  • Ensure infection control and sharp safety procedures are followed.
Requirements
  • Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 1 month of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology, or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
