Position Summary:
The individual in this role will be pivotal in advancing biological and digital innovations within the company by executing specialized research tasks across multiple program areas. This position will provide essential technical and digital assistance to research scientists, facilitating the effective planning and execution of various R&D trials. In addition to conducting both standard and unique research assignments, the candidate will contribute to innovation and sustainability initiatives by leveraging complementary technical expertise, including engineering, digital skills, and biotechnology knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in R&D trials and collaborate with digital product biologists to gather, process, and analyze remote sensing data.
  • Support R&D scientists in laboratory, greenhouse, and field trials, including trial planning, refining application techniques, and data collection.
  • Act as the digital champion on-site and serve as the primary contact for digital product development stakeholders.
  • Contribute effectively to project planning and execution by defining experimental goals and continuously improving R&D processes through suggestions and implementations.
  • Conduct routine or specialized experimental trials.
  • Produce high-quality biological data to aid in the development of new crop protection solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, agriculture, ag biotech, or a related field, or an Associate's degree in agriculture, biotechnology, or a similar discipline with four years of technician experience.
  • Proficiency gained through job-related training and/or substantial on-the-job experience.
  • FAA remote pilot license is a plus.
  • Knowledge in agricultural engineering or biotechnology with a strong interest in digital and remote sensing technologies.
  • Demonstrated scientific rigor and adaptability to dynamic project demands.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
