We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Operations at our Stuttgart manufacturing facility. As a key member of our facility leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive operational strategy that aligns with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach and develop a team of leaders to create a safe and productive work environment that reflects our company values of integrity, respect, and excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shop floor employees and foster an open-door policy to ensure open communication and collaboration.
- Lead the hiring, direction, assessment, and development of team members, with a focus on building skills and capabilities through assessment tools and developmental systems.
- Develop and implement departmental strategies to drive long-term improvements in operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leverage delegation skills to manage a wide range of priorities in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve facility objectives.
- Champion our company culture, driving an environment of accountability, open communication, high ethical standards, and care for employees.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field.
- 10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of increasing responsibility.
- Significant experience in operations, manufacturing complex products through vertically integrated fabrication processes, including maintenance software and implementations.
- Strong working knowledge of metal punch, bending, and forming operations, utilizing traditional and robotic systems.
- Experience developing capital project business cases and providing hands-on capital project support.
- Experience leveraging lean manufacturing principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and entrepreneurial, with a willingness to learn and improve.
- Well-developed quantitative and qualitative analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Skilled with the use of Microsoft and other business software applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SAP.
- Able to motivate and lead teams to achieve goals.
- Strong influencing and communication skills, capable of securing management buy-in, sponsorship, and investment through strong articulation of business benefits aligned to broader organizational objectives.
