We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team at Olmsted Medical Center. As a key member of our Sports Medicine department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch athletic training services to our patients and athletes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Athletic Director: Collaborate with the athletic director to ensure seamless delivery of athletic training services.
- Clear Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with athletes, coaches, and medical staff to ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
- Represent OMC: Serve as a professional representative of Olmsted Medical Center in the community, promoting our organization's values and mission.
- Align with Organizational Goals: Align the needs of the Sports Medicine and Athletic Performance programs with the organization's overall objectives.
- Stay Current with Training Techniques: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sports medicine training techniques and best practices.
- Equipment Competency: Demonstrate proficiency in the safe use of various equipment, including FMS evaluation kits, Game Ready, electric stimulation, and ultrasound machines.
- Pre-Participation Physicals: Conduct pre-participation sports physicals for athletes.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and provide insurance claim forms for sports injuries treated by a physician.
- Provide Medical Eligibility: Provide coaches with a list of athletes medically eligible to compete under district and state rules and regulations.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the athletic director or medical staff.
- Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training: Possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in athletic training.
- Current Board Certification: Hold current board certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer.
- State Registration or Eligibility: Be currently registered or eligible for state registration as an athletic trainer.
- BLS Certification: Possess current BLS certification.
- Minimum One Year Experience: Have a minimum of one year of experience in the field of sports medicine.
