Our Mission:
Recognized nationally as a leader in community medicine, GLFHC specializes in family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics. We operate multiple clinical sites across the service area and sponsor the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program.
Position Overview:
GLFHC is currently seeking a skilled Family Physician to become an integral part of our healthcare team. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver comprehensive and ongoing care to patients requiring both routine and emergency medical attention. This includes:
- Diagnosing various disease processes.
- Providing medical treatment to PACE patients across community health centers, hospitals, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private residences.
- Overseeing and delivering direct medical care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Family Physician, you will:
- Exhibit clinical proficiency and professional dedication by adhering to established medical standards and employing appropriate scientific principles.
- Refer patients to other healthcare providers as necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical records for assigned patients.
- Engage in patient care audits to ensure quality assurance and enhance patient care standards.
- Stay updated on medical professional standards by attending conferences, seminars, and continuing education programs.
- Contribute to the education of medical residents, students, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in on-call duties, including serving as a backup PACE clinician when assigned.
- Serve on relevant PACE committees as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
- Successfully completed residency training.
- Board certification or eligibility in a relevant specialty.
- A current medical license in Massachusetts.
