Position Overview:
As a Phone Triage Nurse, you will:
- Deliver quality patient care and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Follow the Nurse Practice Act to ensure compliance.
- Optimize clinic operations through effective scheduling and resource management.
- Conduct thorough assessments using both subjective and objective data.
- Document and prioritize nursing care plans based on critical thinking.
- Implement care plans by delegating tasks to nursing staff and monitoring their performance.
- Create educational materials for patients regarding health maintenance and restoration.
- Assess patient responses to education and interventions, communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
- Coordinate care and refer patients to appropriate services as needed.
- Perform on-site and telephone triage, ensuring patients receive appropriate care.
- Compile reports as necessary.
- Advocate for patients by maintaining a safe healthcare environment.
- Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Adhere to professional nursing standards.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse license in Texas is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in nursing, Associate's degree in nursing, or a diploma from an accredited nursing program.
Experience:
No prior experience is required.
Physical Demands:
The role may require lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently.
Security Considerations:
This position may involve security-sensitive responsibilities as defined by applicable regulations.
Veteran Considerations:
Military roles that align with the qualifications for this position may include various healthcare-related occupations.
Residency Requirement:
Employees must reside and work in Texas.
