Job Title: Estimating Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to join our team at Kewaunee International Group. As an Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of estimators to ensure accurate and timely pricing estimates for domestic and international lab construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of estimators to ensure the highest performance and professional development.
* Oversee day-to-day operations of the estimating group by assigning tasks and managing workloads to ensure timely and accurate completion of bid activity.
* Review project bidding requirements for both standard and non-standard product requests, evaluate project requirements, and validate estimates prepared by the team to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Coordinate information from other departments, such as IT, Purchasing, Engineering, Sales, and Product Management, needed to maintain current pricing and/or complete bids.
* Align with Finance to determine and assess margin targets by product line and implement, monitor, and control those within the bid discounting request process.
* Manage the day-to-day CRM administration and operations, data collection, bid flow activity, reporting, and dashboard creation while collaborating with key business stakeholders to continuously drive functionality enhancements and improve user experience.

* Strong product and bid process knowledge along with solid leadership and team management abilities.
* A person with cross-functional experience in Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, and/or Operations.
* An individual who has overcome challenges, demonstrated commitment to continuously improving processes, and consistently exhibited a winning attitude.
* A well-organized and flexible individual who has displayed outstanding customer focus while actively protecting the company's bottom line.
* Strong communication skills for collaborating internally and externally with customers and suppliers.
* Proven history of teamwork and collaboration while demonstrating individual leadership and initiative.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems under pressure.
* Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
* Experience navigating and utilizing ERP systems and associated information flow (Syteline is a plus).
* Experience building and managing a CRM tool (Salesforce/Zoho).
* Proficient in leveraging analytical tools such as Excel, Tableau, and/or Power BI.
* Experience in an industry with highly configurable products and the understanding of the impact this has on the markets, customers, and the company.
* Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., CRM - Zoho, Syteline, and Connect).
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field.
* A minimum of 10 years in a role that provided leadership in margin expansion and development, and at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
* Professional certification (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator) is a plus.

Language Skills:

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
* Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to create basic formulas in Microsoft Excel.

Reasoning Ability:

* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
