Avionics Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Payload Avionics and Test (PAT) group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all phases of assigned engineering projects from inception through completion.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the engineering design, analysis, environmental testing, integration, manufacturing, and fielding of gimbaled payloads and control systems.
- Troubleshoot various payload-related systems, including EOIR turrets, radar, Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, radios, antennas, and related components.
- Manage all activities for engineering projects, including planning and managing technical performance to ensure quality, business, and financial objectives are attained.
- Manage and implement current, annual, and long-term technical, schedule, quality, business, and financial objectives for the engineering unit(s).
- Participate in and coordinate the establishment of design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, testing, and integration.
- Interact with internal and external representatives at various levels concerning resolution of technical and scheduling issues.
- May participate in the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract(s).
- Ensure technical leadership and excellence is maintained by participating in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of the required management, professional, and technical talent.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in engineering or a related technical field.
- Eleven or more years of progressively complex engineering experience with at least five years of management responsibilities.
- Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
- Experience with gimbaled systems and control systems.
- Familiarity with military and commercial standards such as MIL-STD-810, DO-160, and MIL-STD-310.
- Familiarity with Opto-Mechanical designs and systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
