Radiation Therapist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Carle Foundation Hospital. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in the treatment of cancer patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians in treating patients with prescribed doses of ionizing radiation.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, explain procedures to patients, position patients, and administer treatments.
  • Monitor patients during therapy sessions to ensure their comfort and observe changes in their condition.
  • Simulate patient treatment according to the treatment plan and design custom treatment devices for individual patients.
Requirements:
  • Associates, Bachelors, or Masters Degree in Radiation Therapy.
  • Radiation Therapy (T)(ARRT) certification upon hire.
  • IEMA Radiation Therapist License upon hire.
  • BLS within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience organizing multiple tasks and working with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to work independently and self-direct work activities.
  • Detail-oriented and able to meet established deadlines.
