We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Travel LPN in our Long Term Care department.

About the Role

This opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting.
  • Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Contribute to the assessment of residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered.
  • Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans.
  • Develop a self-care program for residents, utilizing knowledge of resident education principles.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A graduate degree in practical nursing from an accredited practical nursing program.
  • An unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
  • A minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.
  • Completion of required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
