About the Role

As an Acute Occupational Therapist at MUSC Health Black River Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a patient-and family-centered environment. We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and administer therapeutic procedures for patients with physical medicine and rehabilitation needs, following prescribed treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments of patients' speech and language skills and develop personalized treatment plans to address identified areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers to ensure effective therapies and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records to support ongoing care and evaluation.

Requirements

  • Degree in occupational therapy from an accredited school.
  • One year prior experience preferred; new graduates acceptable.
  • Occupational Therapist South Carolina License required.
  • AHA BLS or equivalent certification required.
