About the Role

Amedisys, a leading provider of home health and hospice services, is seeking a skilled Hospice Liaison to join our team. As a key member of our outreach team, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals, patients, and families to promote our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Educate and Inform: Educate healthcare professionals, patients, and families about our home care services, highlighting the benefits and value we bring to the community.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key referral sources, including hospitals, nursing homes, and physician offices, to generate leads and drive business growth.
  • Patient Admissions: Coordinate patient admissions with our team, ensuring seamless transitions and meeting our quality and safety standards.
  • Community Outreach: Conduct on-site visits to assess patient needs, identify barriers to care, and promote our services at community events.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, referrals, and sales calls, ensuring timely and effective follow-up.
  • Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed admissions, product, and payor-mix goals, driving business growth and revenue.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least one year of outside sales experience in a healthcare-related business development or outreach role.
  • Background: A background in cold calling customers in pharmaceuticals, medical device sales, hospital, home health, hospice, or long-term care is preferred.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and liability insurance are required.
