We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pre/Post Operative Unit team at St. Vincent Evansville. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
Responsibilities- Deliver professional nursing care to patients in the operative setting, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the procedure.
- Perform scrub functions, including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies, to maintain a sterile environment.
- Assist the operating physician with surgical tasks, such as hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure, while maintaining patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use, ensuring they are properly cleaned and sterilized.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Advanced Life Support certification, obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date.
- Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
