Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing personnel under the guidance of the Director.
  • Organize departmental workflows by effectively assigning responsibilities and delegating authority.
  • Provide coaching and training to staff to enhance operational efficiency and compliance with policies.
  • Evaluate departmental processes and implement improvements to ensure quality patient care.
  • Monitor patient safety during procedures and uphold safety standards.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols and compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain and calibrate medical equipment, reporting any issues as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication among administration, medical staff, and other departments to address needs and concerns.
  • Establish goals for quality improvement, fiscal productivity, and patient satisfaction in collaboration with management.
  • Demonstrate technical competency in telemetry patient care when applicable.
  • Conduct regular rounds to assess patient care and staff performance.
  • Assign nursing tasks based on patient acuity and staff skill levels.
  • Act as a clinical resource for staff, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed.
  • Exhibit leadership capabilities in the absence of the department director.
  • Available shifts include both day and night, with 3x12 hour options.

Qualifications:
  • Current Florida RN License
  • BLS and ACLS Certifications
  • Minimum of two years' experience in an acute care environment
