About the Opportunity
The Institute for Community Living is seeking a dedicated Director of Equity and Belonging to lead our DEIB efforts and foster a culture of inclusivity and respect throughout the organization.
Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 per year
Job Description
- Lead DEIB Initiatives: Develop and execute a comprehensive DEIB strategy, collaborating with management to identify and implement initiatives that promote equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Support Staff Development: Provide one-on-one coaching to staff who have expressed a desire to deepen their understanding of DEIB principles and promote cultural competence and allyship.
- Analyze Data and Inform Programs: Collect and analyze data to assess the impact of DEIB initiatives and inform program adjustments to advance ICL's strategic goals.
- Represent ICL at External Events: Actively represent ICL at DEIB-related events, conferences, donor visits, and meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Social Sciences or Human Resources: A master's degree in social sciences or human resources is preferred.
- 5-7 Years' Experience in DEIB Leadership: A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a DEIB leadership role is required, preferably in the not-for-profit sector.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation and presentation skills.
