Electrical Systems Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Howmet Aerospace. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Install and connect power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning apparatus, including transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures.
  • Test and discuss malfunctioning machinery with other personnel to diagnose the issue.
  • Troubleshoot PLC programming and various communication formats.
  • Replace faulty electrical components, including relays, switches, motors, and sensors.
  • Diagnose and repair or replace faulty components, including printed circuit boards.
  • Plan and install wiring, conduit, and electrical devices in buildings.
  • Work with 480V 3 Phase electricity and high voltage up to 138KV.
  • Knowledgeable of the National Electric Code and OSHA regulations and NFPA regulations regarding arc flash.
  • May need to install/remove non-electrical components while working on a specific issue.
  • Shift is not guaranteed, must be willing to be on call, work weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Operate equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Keep a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations to ensure and support a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Journeyman (U.A.W. card required) or have a minimum of eight (8) years of documented experience or have served a Bonafide apprenticeship and possess a certificate which substantiates completion.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
