Job Summary

The Well Operations Specialist reports to the Production Foreman and is responsible for maintaining natural gas wells, collecting and reporting data on well condition and productivity, and aiding in the production of natural gas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, maintain, repair, and report on the condition and/or productivity of company and/or contract natural gas wells.
  • Perform duties such as changing charts on well-recording meters, gauging open flow and rock pressure on gas wells, and blowing drips and siphons.
  • Repair minor leaks and assist in making repairs in lines using blind saddles and other equipment.
  • Read domestic consumer meters and free gas consumer meters.
  • Walk production lines to visually inspect for damage.
  • Maintain rights-of-way, well locations, and meter sites by cutting brush, cutting grass, and cleaning.
  • Paint equipment, lines, and valves exposed to weather.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-4 years of related oil and gas production experience.
  • General knowledge of well operations, including general maintenance practices.
  • Ability to operate independently and manage time.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools, as well as lawn equipment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity to operate specialized equipment.
  • Field work environment requires working in a variety of different weather conditions.
  • Operating a motor vehicle approximately 40% of the time.
