About This Role

This position involves working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Speech and Language Therapy Services: Assist in delivering speech and language therapy services to students.
  • Treatment Plan Implementation: Implement treatment plans as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Screenings and Assessments: Conduct screenings and assist in the assessment process.
  • Progress Documentation: Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' needs.
  • Professional Development: Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
  • Licensure/Certification: State licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Experience: Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team, and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
