We are seeking a highly skilled Options Trader to join our team at Point72. As an Options Trader, you will be responsible for executing equity options using electronic and voice trading, making real-time trading decisions based on systematic signals, and actively managing options portfolio risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement trading strategies to achieve optimal returns on equity options
  • Analyze market data and make informed decisions to execute trades
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with options trading
  • Design and implement semi-automated processes to respond to market events
  • Improve execution quality and analyze transaction costs
  • Maintain relationships with voice-based liquidity providers
  • Contribute to the team's investment process and help expand trading capacity
  • Assist in expanding the team's capabilities to different asset classes and semi-systematic trading

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, or engineering
  • At least one year of experience as an options trader
  • Strong knowledge of options risks and trading strategies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Desire to continuously learn and improve existing processes
  • Attention to detail and vigilance about operational risks
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Python and experience in Linux is a plus
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000-$200,000 (USD), which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
