Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Mission Capable, Persistent and Survivable Naval Platforms Department. As the Head of this department, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure the successful execution of our research and development programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the department to achieve strategic objectives
  • Plan and execute research and development programs to advance naval engineering and technology
  • Oversee the Navy Manufacturing Technology Program and ensure its alignment with departmental goals
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective management of research programs
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to advance the department's mission
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance
Qualifications
  • Progressive experience in the management of research and development programs
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in engineering or a related field preferred
