Job Summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Reviewer to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse Reviewer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of healthcare services provided to our members.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
Solve moderately complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analyses
Work with minimal guidance; seek guidance on only the most complex tasks
Translate concepts into practice
Provide explanations and information to others on difficult issues
Coach, provide feedback, and guide others
Act as a resource for others with less experience

Functional Competencies

Conduct non-clinical research to support determinations
Determine that the case is assigned to the appropriate team for review
Validate that cases/requests for services require additional research
Identify and utilize appropriate resources to conduct non-clinical research
Prioritize cases based on appropriate criteria
Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state requirements and mandates

Requirements

Valid RN license
Compact licensure
3+ years of RN experience in an acute setting
Advanced computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Internet)
Saturday availability

Preferred Qualification

3+ years of experience as an RN in utilization management
