The Pulmonary Care Specialist will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to our patients.
About the Role:
The Pulmonary Care Specialist will perform all aspects of respiratory care modalities in palliative care and curative treatments of pulmonary disease and disorders.
This position will be responsible for managing and monitoring mechanical ventilation and artificial airways, assisting with fiberoptic bronchoscopy procedures, and maintaining documentation and department policies and procedures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform all respiratory care modalities in the treatment of pulmonary disease and disorder in line with department policy and procedure to support safe and positive patient outcomes.
- Documents and performs charge capture in a timely and accurate manner to ensure efficiency in the delivery of respiratory care.
- Assesses patient's respiratory care and collaborates with other members of the patient care team to contribute to positive patient care outcomes.
- Communicates patient care needs with Physician's and other care providers to ensure consistency and informative communication.
- Participates in all in-service trainings and completes all competencies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ability to be at work and be on time.
- Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives.
- Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 1 Year experience as a respiratory therapist preferred
- Proficient in adult critical care (i.e. ICU, EDU, and PACU)
- Experienced in bedside diagnostic testing, respiratory assessment, and advanced modes of mechanical ventilation.
Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $97,600 based on the job requirements and location.
