The Pharmacy Technician will work under the direction and supervision of the Pharmacist in Charge at ARcare Inc. This role is responsible for preparing and compounding medications using sterile technique, providing other health care products, and maintaining proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate inventory levels and order stock of medications, chemicals, and supplies.
- Compound intravenous medications according to USP 797 standards and mix pharmaceutical preparations according to written prescriptions.
- Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against invoices, and inform supervisors of stock needs and shortages.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to patient call-ins and questions.
- Process returns to pharmaceutical companies as needed and complete daily reports as required by policy.
- Ensure knowledge and adherence to Safety and Infection Control requirements and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ability to work accurately and thoroughly with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
The Pharmacy Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and deadlines. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in a clean and organized environment.
