Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Conduct thorough nutrition assessments and create tailored nutrition care plans in accordance with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process.
  • Provide expert recommendations for nutrition interventions and actively participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds.
  • Deliver nutrition education to patients and their families, ensuring a high standard of customer service and patient care.
  • Implement evidence-based medical nutrition therapy, including enteral and parenteral nutrition.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow Registered Dietitian Nutritionists and serve as a liaison to healthcare teams.
  • Supervise Dietetic Interns and contribute to the training of new staff members.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and projects, adhering to established deadlines and competency standards.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • Active registration as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional credentials such as a Master’s Degree in a nutrition-related field or certifications in specialized areas (e.g., Certified Diabetes Educator, Certified Nutrition Support Clinician) are highly regarded.
