Spanish Instructor

We are seeking a part-time Spanish instructor to teach non-credit continuing education courses in our Community Education unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Spanish language and culture, as well as experience in teaching adult learners.

• Teach Spanish language courses to adult learners, using a variety of teaching techniques to engage students and emphasize interaction.
• Develop and implement lesson plans to achieve assigned course learning outcomes, using multiple modalities.
• Assess student work and provide feedback to students, using assessment criteria to determine successful completion.
• Participate in department and college activities, including maintaining office hours and contributing to the development of course materials.

• Minimum two years of prior instructional experience in Spanish language and culture.
• Demonstrated ability to speak Spanish at a Native level of fluency.
• Demonstrated ability to provide Spanish instruction to develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

• Minimum four years of prior instructional experience in Spanish language and culture.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Spanish language and literature or linguistics.
• Experience using a variety of teaching and assessment techniques that engage students and emphasize interaction.
