Tact Staff is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-paying travel nursing assignment in Cody, Wyoming. This opportunity offers a challenging and rewarding experience in Labor and Delivery, working with a talented team of healthcare professionals.
About the Assignment:
This 13-week contract features 36 hours of work per week, with 12-hour shifts. As a Travel RN in Labor and Delivery, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, collaborating with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other medical staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform admitting assessments and develop individualized plans of care for patients
- Monitor fetal heart rates, interpret results, and notify physicians as necessary
- Assist mothers and labor coaches with breathing exercises, pain management techniques, and administer medications as ordered
- Prepare birthing rooms for delivery, following strict sterile technique guidelines
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers to administer spinal or epidural anesthetics
- Provide immediate post-delivery care to mothers and infants, including Apgar scores, DeLee suction, and vital sign monitoring
- Perform post-partum care, provide patient education, and monitor lochia, episiotomy, and fundus health
Nurse Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the United States
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
- Special care nursery skills required
- Ability to float to other areas of the hospital as needed
