Job Summary
This role is a full-time extended Substitute Teacher position.
The successful candidate will step into this role and provide essential teaching support during the designated period.
Job Description / Essential Elements:
Under the guidance of the Principal or the Director of Instruction, the individual will function as a classroom educator, responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating instructional lessons that align with California middle school science content standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging and supporting all students in their learning journey.
- Creating and maintaining effective learning environments.
- Understanding and organizing subject matter for optimal student comprehension.
- Planning instructional strategies and designing learning experiences tailored for all students.
- Assessing student learning outcomes.
- Continuously developing as a professional educator.
- Establishing and maintaining the trust and confidence of the school, district, and community.
Applicants must possess successful experience working with intermediate school students in life, physical, and earth sciences, along with a valid California single subject credential authorizing them to teach science. CLAD authorization is also required.
