We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Representative II, Shared Staff to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support services to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the first point of contact for patients entering the medical facility, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
- Verify patient information, schedule appointments, and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with accuracy and efficiency.
- Facilitate intake procedures, including completion of healthcare and insurance forms, and collect payments for services in a professional and courteous manner.
- Build confidence and cooperation with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through effective communication and job performance.
- Adhere to all organizational, local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
- Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
- 1 year of recent relevant experience.
- Basic knowledge of insurance policies and procedures, as well as patient billing.
- Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Possess written and verbal communication skills to communicate with fellow team members, supervisors, patients, and other hospital personnel.
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
This is a part-time position, working 29 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with no weekend requirements. The pay range for this role is $25.07 to $31.33 per hour.
