We are looking for a Preschool Director to become a vital part of our leadership team at Georgetown Hill Early School. As a non-profit institution, we have been dedicated to serving the educational needs of Maryland families for many years. Our mission focuses on uniting educators, children, and their families to provide an exceptional early childhood learning experience.
This Director role is a full-time position, operating Monday through Friday. Your responsibilities will include effectively managing a bustling preschool campus while ensuring alignment with our core organizational values.
Compensation: Starting at $65,000 annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit strong leadership among campus staff.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive environment for all individuals present.
- Oversee the daily operations of a vibrant preschool campus.
- Lead enrollment initiatives, including marketing strategies, managing the campus CRM system, conducting tours for prospective families, and adhering to enrollment protocols.
- Manage campus human resources functions, including developing staffing patterns, supporting professional growth, payroll processes, and promoting positive staff morale.
- Interpret and implement all relevant MSDE and OCC regulations to ensure compliance; this includes maintaining and enhancing MSDE accreditation and EXCELS ratings.
- Uphold confidentiality regarding student, family, colleague, and school information, as well as other sensitive data, in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of relevant leadership experience along with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, OR a non-education degree paired with MSDE 90-hour Preschool and Infant & Toddler Certification, OR CDA with Preschool and Infant & Toddler Endorsement.
- Preference will be given to candidates holding the MSDE 45-hour Administration Certification.
- A warm, friendly, and composed demeanor.
- Proficient in utilizing various technological tools for productivity.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and reading proficiency.
- Demonstrated reliability in attendance and punctuality.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- A collaborative team player willing to work with others.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and instructional strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of MSDE regulations.
In compliance with Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care regulations, all applicants must undergo and successfully complete a state and federal background check as a condition of employment.
