Job Summary

Deborah Heart and Lung Center is seeking a skilled Patient Care Tech to join our team. As a Patient Care Tech, you will play a vital role in providing direct and non-direct patient care duties and technical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Director of Critical Care Nursing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform direct and non-direct patient care duties and technical tasks as assigned by and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Director of Critical Care Nursing.
  • Assist with patient care activities, such as vital sign monitoring, wound care, and mobility assistance.
  • Operate medical equipment, such as EKG machines and ventilators, as needed.
  • Participate in patient education and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience as a nursing assistant, EKG Technician, Phlebotomist, or other related healthcare experience.
  • High School Degree or equivalency: completion of Patient Care or Multi-skilled Tech certification program.
  • American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Nurse Aide certification, EKG certification, and/or Phlebotomy certification (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Patient Care Tech.
  • Arrhythmia recognition program completion within 3 months of hire.
Working Conditions

Bi-Weekly Hours: 64 hours per pay period / 7A-7P Shift.
