Deborah Heart and Lung Center is seeking a skilled Patient Care Tech to join our team. As a Patient Care Tech, you will play a vital role in providing direct and non-direct patient care duties and technical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Director of Critical Care Nursing.
Key Responsibilities- Perform direct and non-direct patient care duties and technical tasks as assigned by and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Director of Critical Care Nursing.
- Assist with patient care activities, such as vital sign monitoring, wound care, and mobility assistance.
- Operate medical equipment, such as EKG machines and ventilators, as needed.
- Participate in patient education and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- 1-3 years of experience as a nursing assistant, EKG Technician, Phlebotomist, or other related healthcare experience.
- High School Degree or equivalency: completion of Patient Care or Multi-skilled Tech certification program.
- American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
- Nurse Aide certification, EKG certification, and/or Phlebotomy certification (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience as a Patient Care Tech.
- Arrhythmia recognition program completion within 3 months of hire.
Bi-Weekly Hours: 64 hours per pay period / 7A-7P Shift.
