Job Summary

Las Palmas Medical Center is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team in the Medical Renal department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Your expertise and compassion will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based care to patients, following established policies and procedures.
  • Assist with procedures, monitoring, and other functions as directed by the physician or RN.
  • Perform lab and procedural tests within the LVN/LPN scope of practice, after demonstrating competency.
  • Document patient care in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • LVN licensed in the state of Texas or a Compact State.
  • BCLS certification.
  • Graduate of a Vocational Nursing Program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred experience as an LVN in a Med-Surg setting.
  • Specialty certification or training as appropriate.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Computer skills.
