We are currently seeking a highly skilled nursing professional to join our team. As a Registered Nurse at Mount Sinai, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with top-notch healthcare professionals to provide outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to and comply with all regulatory standards globally to profession and specific to unit.
- Implement new physician orders within two hours of initiation for routine and within 30 minutes or less for stat.
- Prepare patients for invasive and/or non-invasive medical procedures, ensuring universal protocol compliance.
- Administer medication per physicians' orders, adhering to the hospital-approved patient identifiers and the 5 rights of patient medication administration.
- Utilize the chain of command to communicate changes in patient condition and initiate timely interventions to prevent negative patient outcomes.
- Maintain current licensure and annual competencies as specific to assignment, keeping written evidence on file at all times.
- E nsure and understand the safety aspect of clinical alarms.
- Follow Patient Safety goals as established by the department; support effective responses to adverse and sentinel events; provide an ongoing proactive approach to reduce risk; integrate patient safety as a priority into new and existing processes.
- Report incidents to supervisor and Risk Management department within required timeframe in accordance with medical center policy.
- Comply with current Hospital security and safety policies.
Qualifications
- Current/Valid Florida RN Licensure.
- BLS and ACLS Certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN inclusive of exposure to critical care.
