Certification Requirements- BLS - Basic Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- CNS - Clinical Nurse Specialist certification
- MSN - Master of Science in Nursing
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
- Tech Certification Verification as applicable
- Fire Card for specific departments
- MAB - Management of Assaultive Behavior and CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute required for certain units
- NIH Stroke Certification preferred for specific units
- E-Fit Mask required for designated departments
This position is open to first-time travelers. Candidates should possess at least 3 years of clinical experience in NICU and 2 years as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. The schedule may vary between day and night shifts, with no weekend work required.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement evidence-based policies, procedures, protocols, and best practice guidelines.
- Contribute to the creation of the Staff Educational Program.
- Provide education and training to staff members.
- Identify specific competencies needed for the NICU population.
- Participate in Performance Improvement (PI) Committees alongside Medical Staff.
- Offer consultation to nursing staff in clinical, administrative, and educational capacities.
- Utilize advanced clinical knowledge and communication skills to enhance nursing practice and improve patient outcomes.
- This role does not involve direct patient assignments.
Government-issued photo ID and an Emergency Contact Form are required prior to commencement. A physical examination within one year of starting is mandatory for all clinical candidates with patient contact. Please note that there is no request for time off (RTO) within the first two weeks of orientation.
